Doctor Who sidekick Dr Martha Jones, Freema Agyeman.
Scriptwriters have pulled the plug
on the girl destined to become Dr Who's most popular
sidekick ever, one series in. Was it really written in
the stars? Is this another BBC whitewash? Intelligent, sexy
and Black, what more could you want from a female character
on British TV? Saturday evenings on the BBC won't be
the same. Thank God the football season is nearly here. |

BROWN AS PAT MOVES UP

Prime Minister Gordon Brown has been appointed Dominica born Baroness
Patricia Scotland Attorney General - she's only the third Black
person ever to hold a cabinet seat. Also moving
up is Tottenham MP David Lammy and City finance hotshot Damon
Buffini. Former chancellor Brown has upped the number of Black
people in the Government inner circle and will take advantage of
their expertise in their respective fields.

Just days after confirmation that Hollywood star Eddie Murphy
is the father of Mel B's youngest child comes the news
the Spice
Girls will reform for a world tour to take place in December and
January. The girls have not performed on stage together since Ginger
Spice Geri Halliwell quit in May 1998.The shows, which includes a
London and LA shows will net Mel B millions - after all you can't live
