Onyekachi Wambu arrived in Britain after the Biafran war. He was
educated at the universities of Essex and Cambridge and has worked as
a journalist since 1983.
He's a former editor of the Voice newspaper and for almost a decade
penned the weekly Inner Vision column in the paper's hey day.
An accomplished and respected writer, and in 1998 edited the book Empire
Windrush. Onyekachi is also a seasoned television producer and director
as has worked extensively for both the BBC and ITV.
His most recent work saw him crossing Atlantic where he produced and directed
HOPES ON THE HORIZON, a two-hour documentary for American television,
chronicling the rise of the pro-democracy movements in six African nation
during the 90s.
Onyekachi has a family home in South London.
