09 AUG 06 - Over six million people claim they have been hit by identity fraud — 44 times the number reported, says a survey. Under 30s were most vulnerable with 28 per cent unaware that a utility bill could be used to clone identity, found the npower poll. Fraud stoppers CIFAS said there were 137,000 cases in 2005.

09 AUG 06 - Teenager Ogazi Chiagorom tied plastic bags over the heads of two kids and rubbed pepper sauce in the eyes of two kids aged nine and ten. The 18-year-old girl from East Ham in east London was given a two year supervision order

KNIFE CRIME UP
09 AUG 06 - Knifepoint muggings are up by a shock 73 per cent. They leapt by 17,730 to 42,020 from 2005 to 2006, say crime experts. Other crimes involving knives are also up. Robberies using blades rose from 25,500 to 40,430

PAUL AKINPELU is being sought in connection to a series of fraud offences committed in South Yorkshire and Brent NW London. From an account opened in the name Paul Akinpelu and funded by fraudulently obtained deposits, the pictured male purporting to be Akinpelu has withdrawn a substantial amount of cash by various means from the account. POLICE want to know who he really is?

 01. LONDON: SCOTLAND YARD
NAME: Ibrahim BANGURA WANTED IN CONNECTION TO: MURDER
Ibrahim is wanted for questioning by detectives investigating the murder of Darren Sherman, 22. He was stabbed in on March 7 this year in Manchester Road, Lime House. He died at Whitechapel's Royal London Hospital shortly afterwards. BANGURA is 21yrs old and last lived on the Isle of Dogs. He is described as approx 5'10" with a short haircut. It is possible that he left the UK after the incident, and fled to Sierra Leone in West Africa.
  02. LONDON: SCOTLAND YARD
NAME: Adrian PAULWANTED IN CONNECTION TO: TRIPLE SHOOTING
Adrian is wanted in connection to a triple shooting at the Red Lion Pub, Ilford Hill, Ilford, Essex on 10 August last year. In the incident Clifford 'Coby' DARKO was fatally injured and two others sustained gunshot wounds. Adrian has a teardrop-shaped tattoo under his right eye. He is dangerous and should not be approached
 03. LONDON: SCOTLAND YARD
NAME: Dwaine St MICHAEL ISREAL WANTED IN CONNECTION TO: SUPPLYING CLASS-A DRUGS
Drug Squad Officers investigating the supply of Class A drugs are looking for Dwaine St. MICHAEL ISRAEL. He is from the South East area of London and is known to frequent the Lewisham and Southwark area's. Officers from Lewisham Borough's Crime Squad are asking members of the public to keep a look out for Israel and contact them if they see him or know his whereabouts. ISRAEL is described as approximately 5'9 and of medium build. Israel also has significant scarring to his torso. 
 04. LONDON: SCOTLAND YARD
NAME: Joseph ODUGUWA WANTED IN CONNECTION TO: FRAUD
Joseph ODUGUWA is wanted for questioning by detectives from the Met's Economic & Specialist Crime Unit. 
This is in connection to a substantial fraud. 
He is believed to have connections in Nigeria and may possibly be staying in that country. 
Joseph ODUGUWA is aged 42 
 05. LONDON: SOUTH YORKSHIRE POLICE
NAME: Anele NCUBE
WANTED IN CONNECTION TO: ARMED ROBBERY
Police want to speak to Anele NCUBE in connection to a robbery at the Halifax Building Society in Beckett Road, Doncaster. 
Three men entered the location, one armed with an axe in December 2005. It is believed that NCUBE may hold vital information in relation to this incident. 
Members of the public are advised not to approach him. 
He is described as being of medium build with short hair
