Although Marc Wadsworth is probably best remembered for his involvement
with a host of politically active groups in the late 80s mid 90s, he is
still remembered as being a news reader on Thames News before the regional
broadcasters memorably lost the franchise.
He has since been actively involved with the Labour Party and an assortment
of Black political groups and movements including the Anti-Racist Alliance
(ARA), the Black section of the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) to name
but a few.
Wadsworth is the current editor of BlaqSport a monthly magazine celebrating
Black sporting achievement.
He says: "Sports governing bodies must act to end the institutional
and other forms of racism which deters our people from participating --
BlaqSport will campaign and cajole to make this happen."
... he's been actively involved with the Labour party and an
assortment of campaign groups .
